| Resumo | The parameter of remote sensing reflectance (Rsr) provides quantitative and qualitative information of optically active components (OACs) in the studied water body. This parameter establishes a relationship between the images generated by sensors aboard of satellites and the in situ OACs. Among the multispectral sensors, the MODIS sensor on the Aqua platform is the most appropriate, specially the product of surface reflectance. Therefore, the objective of this research was to use measures of Rsr obtained in situ and by the product MYD09 to acquire information about the OACs present in the Manso Reservoir, Mato Grosso, Brazil. To perform this study it was made an linear spectral mixing model (LSMM) on the image composition of the product MYD09, referring to the days of in situ collection of reflectance spectrum. It were generated polynomial regressions with the values of Rsr obtained by satellite and in situ as well as measurements of concentration of chlorophyll-a (chla). The results showed that with the use of the LSMM on the composition of MYD09 it was possible to classify the water of the reservoir. Also showed that the in situ Rsr simulated to the MODIS bands agree reasonably well with those obtained by the MYD09. It was also observed that the MYD09 near infrared band with a resolution of 250 showed good results to observe the presence of chl-a in the Manso Reservoir. |
